Some people love to potter in a well-equipped kitchen with local produce when on holiday, others prefer to eat out each day, or a combination of both – there’s plenty of choice close by. If you’d prefer to enjoy a relaxed meal in your cottage, but not have to shop and cook, I’ll do that for you! Choose from our seasonal menu and your meal will be delivered hot at a time to suit you or ready to heat up when you are ready.
You may have travelled some distance to reach us, and if you would like to find a hot meal waiting for you, all you have to do is let me know in advance and I’ll be delighted to cook something delicious for you. Depending on what you choose, it may be simmering away in the slow cooker, be in the fridge ready to go into the oven when you are ready or delivered ready to eat at a time to suit.
We have a fantastic butcher in the village, so all the meat I use will be fresh and local. Fish will also be local and vegetables seasonal, where possible from our own garden.

G E Honey and Son is the fabulous butcher in Parkham selling home-grown and locally-produced meat. The wonderful ‘Dan the Fishman’ sells fresh fish in Appledore and Bideford on Wednesdays and Fridays respectively. Small convenience shops with Post Offices are not far away in Bucks Cross and Woolsery, and there are many supermarkets in Bideford. We also understand that most supermarkets will deliver to Kerswell Farm.
It’s always difficult to recommend places to eat, as they change often, and tastes vary – these are just a few of those that we have tried and enjoyed or have been highly recommended to us by people we trust!
The Bell Inn, Parkham
The Bell Inn in Parkham is a friendly pub with a decent menu and good beer and cider.
On Bideford Quay, you would be hard pressed to find better fish and chips, either to eat in or take away. Great value.
The Farmers Arms, Woolsery
Highly acclaimed, interesting food and fantastic décor. Booking advised.
The Seagate, Appledore
The Seagate on the quay in lovely Appledore, dog-friendly and great seasonal food. Very popular!
The Royal George, Appledore
Our current favourite, booking highly advisable. Dog friendly and fabulous food and views.
The Coach and Horses, Buckland Brewer
Old and traditional country pub with very good food, only a few miles away.
